Good Sunday evening everyone. Hope yall are getting excited about the upcoming hunting season as we are. With everything fast approaching just want to give yall some information about this year:
We are still in CWD disease management area 3 in the counties of Carroll, Patrick, Floyd, Wythe, Pulaski, Montgomery, Franklin, and Roanoke. Smyth, Tazewell, and Bland are in area 4 and as of right now Grayson County is still unaffected. Given that, whole deer or parts of the spinal column, brain, or head cannot go from Area 3 to Area 4 or Grayson County. On a positive note any hunters in Grayson County can bring there deer into Area 3 where we are located.
This year's youth season will be Sept 27th and 28th. We will be open this year for those 2 days of youth season. As I have kids of my own that hunt as well, feel free to give me a call before coming up as I might be in the woods with them. I'll gladly meet with you after a hunt.
Next we have been working diligently all summer to get everything ready for this coming up season and will be offering summer sausage, snack sticks, and deer jerky to our list options for processing.
Last and foremost we are having a second walk in cooler installed. Due to the overwhelming business brought in last year we are going to do our best to not turn any deer away this year.
I will make another post in a couple days in regards to pricing for the 2025-26 season. We are excited about seeing each and everyone of yall again and look forward to meeting new faces as well.
