I am close to retirement and just want to do the things I enjoy the most. Cost of services is outrageous these days. Simple mow

er repairs, electrical issues, plumbing issues, appliance issues to name a few can burden a person/family financially. I enjoy handyman type work and want to help people and also experience the good feeling I get when I can help someone. I charge $25 per hr, however, not set in stone. If you are in need of some type of handyman work, or just something that I may be able to assist with, and do not have a family or friend that can help you. Please messenger/email me. Spring is almost upon us. March is when people start thinking about mowing again and wants their mowers serviced. Not many places around who do this anymore. If you happen onto this page, please don't hesitate to message me or email me. I do NOT include my phone number due to the world we live in, so messaging or emailing me is the only way I will answer new clients. I very much enjoy working on mowers and most importantly want the clients satisfaction.

Again if you are new and are interested in my services for your equipment, please contact me.

Hi all it is Sunday and I am out in garage. I only got two things done this week.

Number 1. I checked on the carburetor for the scooter from last week and found that the other line was just a drain for the carburetor bowl. It allows the user to drain the gas from the carburetor bowl so that if you use cheap ethanol gas it can be drained out just by using a screw. The moped was not gravity fed so it can not have a fuel shut off.

Number 2. I have been staining a deck. I had a friend of mine help me for a couple of days. Pictures included. Not done with it yet have to finish staining privacy fence. Privacy fence has boards on both sides of 2x4 in middle. Main objective was to get the deck stained before winter sets in.

I actually have been working on another project. This one is my own. Another friend of mine has a 5 year old and a 2 year old. I have an old playhouse. This fiend was visiting the other night and he asked about playhouse. Picture included. I told him that if he wanted it, it was up to him to pay for any costs to get it out of here. I am helping him to get it onto a trailer so that I can get rid of it. I hope all goes well.

Dull reading I know but give comments.

Sunday, 3 weeks later. For those of you who watch, I apologize for not posting. I don't remember all that I have done for the last few weeks, but want to share what I remember. May not be in order.

First job was to install new screens on basement windows. Was going to make them out of wood but found at Menards kits that you could custom size the frames. The framing was white and so was the house they were being made for. I do not have pictures but they fit perfectly and looked great. I also had to get the windows to open which WD40 to the rescue. Person was pleased.

Second, while working on screens another person asked me to fix a moped that would not run and also had a leaking valve on the front tire. Picture included. Cleaned out the carb jets. Was 90% blocked because of ethanol gas. Person wants to be able to continue to use ethanol gas, as always I recommend putting on a fuel shutoff valve so that the gas feed can be stopped and to run the moped until carburetor bowl is empty. This eliminates ethanol gumming in carb and blocking jets. The carburetor is an odd one, mopeds are cheaply made, it seems to have two gas feeds. I got to do a little more research on. Picture included. The flat tire problem has a rim labeled tubeless on rim ended up having a tube in it. Ordered a replacement tube and installed. Moped runs good now and tire holds air with no leak.

Third, I installed another interior door. Second one in the same house. Pictures included.

Fourth, I was told that a toilet had a problem with taking forever to refill the tank after flushing. Checked the shutoff valve and the hose to find as I suspected the float assembly. The toilet had a older style float. I asked the person if they would be ok with installing a different style. Installed the new float and a new hose and checked thoroughly for leaks. Person was happy with outcome. Again pictures.

Fifth, I was called to a person who's garbage disposal quit working. The garbage disposal brand was the InSinkErator. It has a button that is installed into the counter top that allows the user to push the button to activate the garbage disposal instead of using the light swith that is used in most homes. This button has a tube and works with air. When the user pushes the button air goes down to the control box which activates power to the garbage disposal which is plugged into that control box. Picture is included of box.

Well this post is getting awful long there was a few other things I have done but don't want to bore everyone. As always thinks for following and just to let people know, as if they don't already. Yard mowing has slowed down so I will have a little more time to get to to other things. Thank you for your time and please comment. Have a great week.

Yes Sunday again and on a Sunday. This week I mowed 2 lawns and fixed a push mower. The reason that I done so little. Old Ford Ranger plastic door handles broke on drivers side. They were painted the same color of truck. Since I had to replace them and the new color is black. I changed both of them. Got metal handles instead of plastic. While I was doing the door handles, this truck always has sagged in the back end. It had steadily gotten worse. So I crawled underneath to find the bracket/shackle was completely rottened out. I changed both sides so now the old girl rides and sits even. It was a time consuming job rusted bolts and rivets to cut out. Frame is still in great shape. Next week I will be doing more jobs again.

Here it is Sunday again. This week has been a little more exciting. First task this week was to trim out an interior door with pine trim. I was going to take pictures, maybe next time I go to client's home. I will be installing a second interior door. The client informed me that her son was examing my quality of work and was very impressed with the job I had done. That means alot to me. I try to do the best job possible for people. I can accept praise or criticism.

The second task this week was to close in the foundation of a deck. Those are pictures before and after. This client commented on last wednesday's post, but I don't mention it until the following Sunday. The deck was approximately 5 1/4 inches from the ground, which would allow varments to get under deck. Originally the person wanted lattice put underneath. Since it was such a small opening lattice would not look right. Considered square black coated fencing, but, that would not add to the beauty of the deck. The decision was to add wood beams to close in the gap.

Third task was fixing a push mower. I fixed this mower last week but the client was not happy with outcome. I do not accept payment unless person is satisfied with outcome. Cleaned carburetor again but made sure that I cleaned the whole jet assembly. Client came by house to verify how it was running. I always follow up with client a few days later and client was very happy that mower was back to running great again.

Fourth task was just mowing yards and weedeating. Weedeater had been broke for a couple weeks. Now I have it fixed and a new one on stand by.

To all my clients, I want to say thank you for all the tasks that you have me do. I enjoy it very much.
