Nothing spooky about this shower.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A relaxing outdoor shower with a cold plunge tub nearby makes the perfect spot to unwind. The shou sugi ban from the interior millwork continues outside, wrapping the shower niche in the same charred wood finish. Our client was hands-on with the process, using a large torch to bring this traditional Japanese wood-preserving technique to life.

A closer look at this home renovation. Every detail was intentional. Take a look next to the custom white oak built-in in the mudroom. Our client used recycled wood from the original home, finishing it herself with shou sugi ban, a traditional wood-burning technique, to create a rich, textured look that adds both warmth and function.
