Your AC has been running hard all summer. ☀️

A professional cleaning and tune-up now can be the difference between a system that powers through the rest of the season and one that calls it quits on the hottest day of the year.

During a tune-up, we inspect your coils, check refrigerant levels, test electrical connections, and make sure everything is running as efficiently as it should be. Most homeowners are surprised by how much a little maintenance can extend the life of their system.

If your AC hasn't been serviced yet this season, now is a great time to get it on the schedule.

Have you noticed water dripping from a pipe outside your home? It could be your AC's way of telling you something needs attention. 💧

As your air conditioner cools your home, it creates condensation that normally drains through the primary condensate line. If that line becomes clogged with algae, mold, or debris, the water backs up into the overflow pan and starts dripping from the secondary drain line outside.

The drip itself isn't the problem; it's a warning sign that your primary drain may be blocked.

Taking care of it early can help prevent water damage to your system or your home. If you've noticed this happening, it's a good idea to have it inspected before it turns into a bigger issue.

We're proud of what our team has built, and we don't take it lightly. If you're looking for an HVAC company that your neighbors already trust, we'd be glad to earn your trust too.

Have you noticed a humming or rattling sound from your HVAC system? Your blower wheel could be the reason.

The blower wheel is responsible for pushing conditioned air through your home. Over time, dust and debris can build up on its blades, reducing airflow, causing unusual noises, and making your system work harder than it should.

A clean blower wheel helps your HVAC system run more quietly, cool more efficiently, and puts less strain on the blower motor. If your airflow seems weaker or your system sounds different than usual, it's worth having it checked.

Your condenser coils and outdoor unit take on a lot through the summer, dirt, grass clippings, mulch, and whatever else the season throws at them.

When those coils get coated, your system has to work harder to release heat, and that shows up in your energy bill and the life of your equipment. We are running a special on coil and condenser cleaning and inspection right now.

It's a straightforward service that makes a noticeable difference.

Schedule yours at (224) 419-5324.

Did you know your utility meter can give you clues about how efficiently your HVAC system is running?

Here's a simple way to check. Find your electric meter outside your home and write down the reading. Then, turn off everything in the house except your AC and watch the meter for about 60 seconds. If the numbers are moving quickly, your system is using a significant amount of power.

Try the same test on a mild day when your AC isn't running as much and compare the two readings. A noticeable difference could be a sign that your system is working harder than it should.

Next, pay attention to how your system is performing inside your home. Ask yourself:

➡️ Are your vents blowing strong, consistent airflow?
➡️ Is your system cycling on and off more often than usual?
➡️ Are some rooms warmer than others?

These can all be signs that your system is using extra energy without delivering the comfort you're paying for. Common causes include dirty air filters, low refrigerant, blower issues, or simply an aging system.

Your utility meter won't tell you exactly what's wrong, but it can serve as an early warning sign helping you catch efficiency problems before they show up on your energy bill.

Noticed moisture on your AC unit or refrigerant lines? 💧

Before you assume something is wrong, here's the good news: a little condensation is often completely normal, especially during a hot, humid Chicago summer.

Just like a cold glass "sweats" on a warm day, cold refrigerant lines can collect moisture from the air around them.

However, some signs shouldn't be ignored:
⚠️ Water pooling around the unit
⚠️ Excessive dripping from the indoor system
⚠️ Ice or frost on the coil or refrigerant lines

These issues can point to restricted airflow, a clogged condensate drain, a dirty coil, or a refrigerant problem.

If you're unsure where to start, check your air filter first. A dirty filter is one of the most common causes of airflow-related issues.

When it comes to moisture around your AC, a little can be normal. A lot is usually your system's way of asking for attention.
