The Glendale Narrows Riverwalk Spillway Art Project is a public art project designed and built by Robert Rossoff. The art piece is located in a public park on the corner of Paula Ave. in Glendale. It was commissioned to enhance the spillway area of the Glendale Narrows Riverwalk, a park under construction in the City of Glendale along the Los Angeles River. The project draws inspiration from the r

iver, and the animals and people who live along it. The project will provide a sense of connection to nature and history for those who will enjoy the riverwalk. The project is composed of four components: the bulkheads, the river image on the spillway, a bench area, and the west wall. The bulkheads are designed as wings decorated with images of fish and the iconic egrets who live along the river. The river image on the spillway will serve to anchor the project's sense of place. Words in Tongva and English on the benches as well as images on the contribution wall will honor the area's people, past and present. About the artist:
