I thought maybe I would also post this barn that we built this fall in Glover. All local wood, most of it was sawed by me and the logs were procured from a local forester and were sustainably harvested. In fact much of the wood was deadfall and dying fir and spruce. A fun project.

Here is a little garage we built this season on Caspian. There was another similar garage in its place which sustained a little smoke damage at some point. So we tore it down built another much better one. Spray foam insulation, pine interior and red cedar on the exterior. No roof yet as the entire house is getting a new standing seam roof very soon. We also re-built the mud room that connects the garage to the house.

I just thought I would let everyone know that I can now get h**p insulation batts. They are made in Asbestos QC. They are comparable to fiberglass for R-value but have class-A fire resistance and they are rodent resistant. They also have a lower carbon footprint than cellulose! Happy to pass on details as needed.
