Has anyone seen the cover of the October issue of Powder magazine??
Inside Powder Magazine highlights the story of Snowshoe Thompson who used longboards to run mail back and forth across the Sierra in the mid-1800s, bored miners began using them to race, hitting speeds above 80 mph. The tradition continues with the Annual Revival Series World Championship Longboard Races in Johnsville, California. The Co-Founder of The Murray Company now teaches a class each fall constructing historical longboards to continue to rich history to help the tradition live on. LONG LIVE LONGBOARDS.

We're highlighting the Inaugural Lost Sierra Luxury Home Tour planned for Saturday, August 12. The tour will showcase some of the most gorgeous homes in the Lost Sierra featured at both Grizzly Ranch and Nakoma, less than an hour North of Reno and Truckee.

This is a free and self-guided tour, so you have the flexibility to see all homes or simply pick and choose.

10 AM - Tour starts at Nakoma Resort. Stop into the Altitude Recreation Center (under construction) to pick up your tour map and meet a tour representative.

2 PM - Tour starts at Grizzly Ranch. Stop by the Information Center to pick up your map. Home viewing is until 4:30 p.m.
