💰 𝗣𝗮𝘆: $28–$32 per hour (based on position & experience)

Erie Environmental of Cleveland is expanding and looking to add experienced Asbestos Abatement Supervisors and Asbestos Abatement Workers to our growing team!

✅ 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
✔️ Ohio Asbestos Supervisor License Preferred
✔️ Asbestos abatement experience preferred
✔️ Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state regulations
✔️ Ability to lead crews, manage job sites, and enforce safety compliance
✔️ Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation

✅ 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
✔️ Current Ohio Asbestos Worker License (or ability to obtain)
✔️ Asbestos abatement experience preferred
✔️ Ability to follow safety procedures and work in PPE
✔️ Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

🚨 𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗕𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗢𝗪𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗦 🚨
If you’re seeing insulation wrapped around pipes that looks aged or degraded — stop and pay attention. Older pipe-insulation often contains asbestos, and disturbing it can put you and others at serious risk.

𝚀𝚞𝚒𝚌𝚔 𝙵𝚊𝚌𝚝𝚜 𝚃𝚘 𝙺𝚗𝚘𝚠:
➡️Asbestos-containing pipe insulation (also called “lagging” or “pipe wrap”) was widely used up through the 1970s because it resists heat and fire.
➡️The big danger: if the material is damaged, friable (crumbly), or disturbed, microscopic asbestos fibers can be released into the air.
➡️Breathing those fibers can lead to serious long-term health issues including mesothelioma (a cancer of the lining of the lungs/abdomen), asbestosis (lung scarring), lung cancer and other problems.
➡️There is no known safe level of asbestos fiber exposure.

𝚆𝚑𝚢 𝚃𝚘 𝙽𝙾𝚃 𝙳𝙸𝚈:
❌Proper removal requires specialized training, equipment (including respirators, sealed containment, HEPA filters, etc.) and disposal procedures. Standard homeowner tools and protective gear won’t cut it.
❌DIY disturbance can release asbestos fibers into your HVAC system, walls or work area.
❌Professionals can test the material, evaluate condition, plan safe removal or encapsulation, and ensure compliance with local/state/federal regulations.
❌Liability risk: If someone becomes exposed because removal wasn’t handled properly, the health, legal and financial consequences can be huge.
