🌧️ Heavy rain this morning here in DFW. Great for the grass, but it can bring some hidden headaches to your yard!

Watch out for:

🔹 Standing water or soggy spots; our clay soil drains slow, which can suffocate roots and invite disease

🔹 Fungus like brown patch. Those circular brown areas love wet conditions

🔹 Insects like chinch bugs and grubs, which often flare up in stressed, damp lawns

Quick tips: Walk your yard after the rain, check for pooling, keep gutters clear, and hold off on watering until things dry out. If you have an irrigation system, make sure your rain sensor is working so it skips watering after a rain like this. Aeration and compost topdressing can help long term drainage big time.
