Progress shots from a new fireplace remodel and shiplap ceiling install we’re currently working on.

The fireplace is now framed and installed, then fully covered and protected while the rest of the work continues — because protecting finished elements during construction matters.

Today we completed the furring strips for the shiplap ceiling, setting the foundation for a clean, straight, seamless install.

Next up: ceiling layout and shiplap installation.

Projects like this are all about doing things in the right order so the final result looks intentional — not rushed.

This kitchen was already prepped when we arrived, with the old backsplash removed and ready for the next phase.

We installed 6”x12” slate gray tile featuring natural veining and plenty of character. The texture and variation in the slate add depth to the space and give the kitchen a finished, intentional look without overpowering the design.

A great example of how the right materials and clean installation can elevate a space — even when it’s just one focused upgrade.

This fireplace went from outdated to a true focal point of the room 🔥

We installed a remote-controlled gas fireplace, reused a piece of old barn timber for the mantel, and finished it with Fond du Lac stone, off-white over-wash grout, and slate gray hearth tile.

A quick but grand remodel — and this space is just getting started.
Next up: new wood floors and paint to bring it all together.

Another basement egress window completed 🔨
This project added a safe, code-compliant exit while improving drainage along the side of the home.

The scope included careful excavation, cutting and removal of a section of the basement wall, proper installation and waterproofing of the window well, installation and flashing of a new egress window, a safety ladder and protective cover, and full regrading of the side yard to improve water management.

Completed in partnership with Westshore Building Services, LLC and Trinik Construction — a solid team effort focused on quality and craftsmanship from start to finish.

Licensed and insured, and committed to doing the job right.

🔥 Fireplace Remodel – Nearing Completion 🔥

This project is about 90% complete, and it’s been a big transformation. The scope includes:
• New built-in cabinetry with adjustable shelving
• Soft-close hinges and a smooth, high-quality paint finish
• A new gas fireplace
• Custom wood mantel
• Detailed trim and crown molding throughout

The final step will be installing the granite surround and hearth, which will really bring the whole design together.

We love projects that combine function, craftsmanship, and clean design. Final reveal coming soon 👀
