Project Highlight - Gulfport Wastewater Treatment Plant - Gulfport, Mississippi

Malouf Construction successfully completed a large-scale wastewater treatment headworks project, delivering a new facility while maintaining continuous operations at the active treatment plant.

The project included 840 cubic yards of foundation concrete, 1,320 cubic yards of concrete walls and elevated slabs, and the installation of 20 slide gates, along with mechanical screens, grit processing equipment, pumps, extensive process piping, and complete electrical, monitoring, and control systems. Executing this complex scope within a strict 450-calendar-day deadline required detailed planning, coordination among multiple trades, and careful sequencing to maintain plant operations throughout construction.

The project required extensive planning, coordination, and technical expertise to complete the new headworks structure while keeping the existing treatment plant fully operational.
