It is when you use fine grains of sand to strip a surface (i.e. metal surface) in order to create a nice smooth paint able surface. It is a service that we offer separately or incorporated in with the price of the powder-coating. Powder-coating is when you have small colored plastic like beads that come out as powder. After the powder is applied (which is the paint) it is set in the oven at 400
