Interior fireplace repairs today

For this project, the previous contractor did not properly flash the chimney, both on the roof and along the brick against the vinyl siding all the way down.
For this repair, we replaced the section of the roof with the chimney, completely removed the existing stop flashing and replaced it with the new installation. And opened the ridge vent for this area for proper roof ventilation.
Landmark shingles were used for the new installation.
Final pictures will be posted in the spring, as they were not taken at the time of completion.

For this project the previous contractor did not properly install the roof, causing a major leak in the valley and extensive Extensive water damage for the exterior wall by the door, insulation, and drywall in this area.
As usual, we do not take pictures of the interior before starting the work. The original plan was to remove two sheets of drywall on the ceiling and the area around the window then hang and finish these only. After removal of drywall in these areas it was apparent that the existing ceiling joists were not hung structurally supportive, and there was extensive water damage around the window. From here we continue to remove the entire ceiling for this area and the existing ceiling joists.
The next day for this project we began tear off of the roof, replaced several sheets of plywood, and jacked up the roof 3 inches in the center. We installed two new rafters to replace existing rafters that were heavily damaged from the roof leak, and installed new supports at the top of the existing rafters for the remainder of the roof to hold the roof at its new level.
The new roof installation is all ice shield for the flat roof and all transition areas. For additional security Grace was used in some areas.
For the remainder of the interior work, new ceiling joists were hung to hold the facia from bowling out in the future with a combination of new lumber and reusing the previous 4 x 10 joists. The exterior window was also replaced.
