- Vehicle Struck on I-664 in

At approx 8:10 a.m. Friday (6/10), a Virginia State Police Trooper was stopped out on the shoulder of I-664 near Exit 6 to assist a disabled motorist. While the trooper was seated inside the patrol car awaiting assistance for the disabled motorist, a Hyundai ran off the interstate and into the back of the marked patrol car. The Hyundai then struck the disabled vehicle.

The trooper and driver of the disabled vehicle were both transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
