Yesterday, we traveled to Magnolia, Arkansas, to help my mother-in-law as a wildfire burned less than 200 yards from her home. The fire was still actively spreading while we were there and had already burned approximately 150 acres.

Seeing this firsthand was a real eye-opener!

One thing became crystal clear: keeping your property lines cleared and wide enough to drive down is more important than most people realize.

Forestry mulching isn’t just about making your property look better. It’s about reducing fire fuel, providing access for firefighters, and helping protect what matters most.

Yesterday gave me a whole new appreciation for the work we do at JKC Construction.

Don’t wait until a fire is at your doorstep to think about your property lines!

I wanted to share a few pictures of some properties we’ve been working on lately.

One of the things I enjoy most about forestry mulching is seeing the difference it makes in a piece of property. It’s always satisfying to take an area that’s grown up and hard to get through and open it back up so the landowner can really see and enjoy what they’ve got.

Every property is a little different, and we take pride in making sure the finished product is something both we and the customer can be proud of.

I really appreciate everyone who has trusted us to work on their property. We don’t take that trust for granted.

If you’ve got some land you’ve been wanting to clean up, we’d be glad to come take a look.

Made a trip north of Haughton to Lake Erling, Arkansas, and cleaned up 450 feet of shoreline while the lake is low! Knocked down the overgrowth, hauled it off, and opened up a beautiful view of the water.

Now the owners can spend more time fishing and less time fighting the brush!

🎣 If you’re catching more trees than fish, it might be time to call JKC Construction. 😂

We mulch the brush and small trees around your pond so you can spend more time fishing and less time donating $12 lures to the limbs.

We can’t fix your casting, but we can remove some of the witnesses. 🤣

Give JKC a shout and let’s clean up those pond banks!

Another property knocked out this week!

We mulched the thick brush and cleaned up beneath the trees, opening up the view and giving the owners more room to get out and enjoy their land. Always satisfying to uncover the beauty that’s been hidden behind the overgrowth.

🌳 Another property cleaned up by JKC Construction in Benton, Louisiana!

We recently finished forestry mulching this property, clearing out thick brush and undergrowth while keeping the mature trees. The result is a clean, open property that’s easier to access, enjoy, and maintain.

Take a look at the before-and-after pictures—the difference speaks for itself!

Have overgrown land that needs attention? Whether you’re cleaning up your homesite, opening trails, or reclaiming acreage, JKC Construction is ready to help.

🚨 BIG NEWS FROM JKC CONSTRUCTION! 🚨

At JKC Construction, we’re always looking for better ways to serve our customers. As land development continues to grow, so does the need for faster, cleaner, and more efficient land clearing. That’s why we’re excited to announce that, after demoing several horizontal grinders and putting them through their paces, we’ve made our decision…

We’re adding a Bandit HM6420 Horizontal Grinder to the JKC fleet!

Traditional land clearing often involves piling debris, burning, or hauling thousands of cubic yards of material off-site. Horizontal grinding changes that. By processing whole trees, stumps, and logging debris directly on the jobsite, we’re able to eliminate burn piles, reduce hauling costs, recycle material into usable mulch or biomass, and leave a cleaner site that’s ready for the next phase of construction much sooner.

After comparing multiple machines, the Bandit HM6420 stood above the rest. Powered by a 1,200 HP Caterpillar engine, it’s built for maximum production with a heavy-duty hammermill, high-capacity feed system, and advanced impact detection technology that helps protect the machine while processing everything from whole trees and stumps to logging slash and brush.

This investment expands JKC Construction’s capabilities in:
🌲 Whole Tree Grinding
🪵 Stump & Logging Debris Grinding
🚜 Large-Scale Land Clearing
🏗️ Commercial & Industrial Site Development
⚡ Utility & Pipeline Right-of-Ways
💻 Data Center Site Preparation
♻️ Biomass & Mulch Production

Our goal is simple: provide our customers with a complete land-clearing solution that’s safer, more efficient, and more cost-effective. From timber harvesting and clearing to grinding and final site preparation, JKC Construction is equipped to handle every phase of the job.

We’re excited to put the HM6420 to work and continue investing in the equipment and people that help us deliver the best results for our customers.

Thank you to everyone who has supported JKC Construction. We’re just getting started, and we can’t wait to show you what this machine can do.

The ice storm took its toll on several structures around the Arklatex. This horse barn couldn’t hold up to the weight of the ice and collapsed. Thankfully there were no horses harmed when it fell. We were called and contracted to tear it down and get it hauled off.
