🔨 FROM SOMEONE ELSE’S MISTAKES TO A PROJECT DONE RIGHT 🔨

Sometimes a renovation isn’t about starting from scratch — it’s about stepping into a project where the work has already been started and figuring out what needs to be removed, corrected, rebuilt, and finished properly.
That’s exactly what happened with this garage project.
When Shore Life Construction came in, we found numerous issues from the previous contractor, including walls that weren’t level, incorrect electrical wiring, improper plumbing, incorrect garage door work, and exterior AZEK installed with large gaps.
This wasn’t a quick punch-list. We had to tear out significant portions of the previous work and rebuild them correctly.
🔨 WHAT OUR TEAM COMPLETED:
✅ Removed and completely rebuilt the improperly constructed left-hand exterior garage wall
✅ Tore down and reconstructed the rear garage wall
✅ Corrected framing throughout the affected areas
✅ Gutted the bathroom to correct the previous plumbing and electrical work
✅ Corrected improper electrical wiring throughout the affected areas
✅ Reworked and corrected bathroom plumbing
✅ Hung and finished new bathroom drywall
✅ Installed the toilet and vanity
✅ Framed the rear of the garage for two new garage doors
✅ Installed two new garage doors with glass
✅ Installed garage door motors/openers and completed the necessary electrical wiring
✅ Removed the improperly installed exterior AZEK with visible gaps
✅ Installed solid 4’ x 10’ AZEK beadboard sheets for a cleaner, seamless finished appearance
✅ Redid the AZEK on the left-hand side of the home, removing the gapped installation and replacing it with solid sheets
✅ Installed 1x material along the rear portion to overlap gaps, improve the finished appearance, and provide additional privacy
✅ Installed a mini-split heating and cooling system
✅ Added a pass-through into the bathroom so it can maintain a similar temperature to the garage
✅ Installed doors, trim, and additional finish components
✅ Completed drywall repairs and finishing
✅ Prepped and painted the entire garage
⚒️ SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO GO BACKWARD BEFORE YOU CAN MOVE FORWARD.
Covering up bad framing, electrical, or plumbing doesn’t make the problem disappear. On this project, the only way to give the customer the finished product they deserved was to remove what wasn’t right and rebuild it the way it should have been done the first time.
