While their team handled the installation of a new gutter drainage system, LDS Electric installed a 100-amp subpanel in the pole barn to provide the power needed for the space.

UPDATE TO YESTERDAY’S POST

After exhausting every option available and spending nearly 12 hours on the phone fighting for this homeowner, we finally got a lineman to respond and come inspect the situation.

When he arrived and saw the condition of the electrical panel firsthand, he was absolutely appalled that it had not been treated as an emergency from the beginning. The level of damage and fire risk was undeniable.

Once the disconnect was approved, our work was just getting started.

Our crew worked late into the night and through the early morning hours to remove this dangerous fire hazard and install a safe, code-compliant replacement panel. At approximately 2:00 AM, power was safely restored to the customer’s home.

This wasn’t just about replacing a panel. It was about protecting a family and ensuring they weren’t left sitting with a known electrical fire hazard for weeks while paperwork and bureaucracy delayed action.

We want to thank the lineman who ultimately came out, assessed the situation, and helped make the right decision. Most importantly, we’re thankful this homeowner and their family are safe.
