Birmingham Irrigation Services isn’t built on being the cheapest. It’s built on being different.

Griffin is raising the standard of what homeowners should expect when hiring an irrigation professional.

Quality workmanship is only part of that standard. How he arrives, how he presents himself, how he communicates, and how he respects your property matter just as much.

Professional. Presentable. Prepared. Detail-oriented. Dependable.

Behind Birmingham Irrigation Services is one hardworking man who takes tremendous pride in his craft, his reputation, and every job that carries his name.

He works long hours, holds himself to exceptionally high standards, and believes that doing something right should never be the exception.

His goal isn’t simply to repair irrigation systems. It’s to redefine the level of professionalism, craftsmanship, and customer service people have come to expect from the industry.

And yes, his pricing reflects that commitment. You’re investing in experience, precision, accountability, and someone who genuinely cares about the quality of work he leaves behind.

Griffin isn’t trying to compete with everyone else. He’s working to set himself apart.

You never know what you’re walking into when you pull up to a customers house only knowing “there’s some sort of leak”.

It wasn’t just a leak, it was an active leak that was flooding the front yard and running down the street.

With the homeowner’s permission, the water meter at the street was turned off and digging to find the leak began.

In the pictures you will see a ball valve shutoff (that was unusable because the box it was located in was not big enough, pressure regulator, backflow assembly, master valve and two zone valves.

Here is an example of a DON’T in irrigation work: use galvanized steel threaded ni***es to connect brass fixtures.

Galvanized steel that is buried in the ground covered with dirt and moisture is inevitably going to corrode.

Pictured below, I am pointing to the spot where the galvanized ni**le had a hole in the side of it due to corrosion.

Simple fix, right?

Think again 😅

All the threaded ni***es connected to the pressure regulator and backflow prevention assembly were corroded to the fixtures. There was no way to make the repair without replacing both.

This customer was informed of the situation and elected to go ahead with the replacements and repair.

A quick update from Birmingham Irrigation Services:

Due to an unexpected illness, Griffin has been out of the field for the past few days. Unfortunately, Hand, Foot & Mouth made its way through our household, severely with him, and he’s taking the necessary time to recover and avoid spreading it to others.

We know many of you are waiting on service calls, estimates, and return messages. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through a temporary delay in our schedule.

As soon as Griffin is fully recovered, we’ll be working hard to get caught up and take care of everyone as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your continued support of Birmingham Irrigation Services. We truly appreciate each and every one of our customers!

Do you have 1 or more zones experiencing pressure issues?

This Mountain Brook homeowner noted gradual loss of pressure over time for their entire irrigation system.

Older properties with original systems tend to encounter restrictions somewhere within the system over time. This can lead to whole-system pressure loss.

The usual culprit on older systems is a non-functioning backflow and/or collapsed internals of the pressure regulator.

We located where the irrigation was tied into the water line, the pressure regulator, backflow assembly AND a secondary pressure regulator.

Due to age and current performance issues the homeowner elected to have use remove the redundant pressure regulators and replace the double check backflow preventer. Not only that, we also installed a new shut off valve since the system did not already have one 🤯

Ta-da!

Full pressure back to the irrigation system 😎
