This week, we headed to Orlando for The HUGE Convention, the premier event for the home-service industry.

We kicked things off with the 10X Mastermind workshop, then spent the next several days learning from some of the industry's most successful operators, attending in-depth training sessions, and getting hands-on with professional equipment from leading manufacturers across the country.

And we're coming home with something we're especially excited about:

After comparing systems and talking directly with manufacturers and experienced professionals, we've invested in a Tucker H2Pro professional pure-water system for residential and commercial window cleaning.

It's another investment in the same philosophy we've followed from the beginning: professional training, professional-grade equipment, and the right system for the job.

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey. Whether you’ve hired Mr. Exterior, referred us to friends and family, liked or shared our posts, or simply encouraged us along the way—you’ve played a part in helping this business grow.

Last week, we hit another milestone and were finally able to get our truck professionally wrapped. It turned out even better than I imagined, and seeing it on the road is a reminder of how far we’ve come.

None of this would have been possible without the trust and support of our amazing customers, family, and friends. As the owner of Mr. Exterior, I’m incredibly grateful for every opportunity you’ve given us.

As much as you see me out in the field, there’s someone working just as hard behind the scenes who deserves a lot of the credit for where Mr. Exterior is today.

My wife, Chelsea Watch, recently completed her Master’s Degree in Accounting, and I couldn’t be more proud of her. While accomplishing such a huge milestone, she’s also been the backbone of our business—handling everything from bookkeeping and accounting to ordering supplies, organizing paperwork, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

On top of all of that, she’s an incredible mother to our two amazing boys. She somehow balances family, school, and our business with a level of dedication that inspires me every day.

People often see the truck, the equipment, and the finished jobs, but they don’t always see the countless hours that go into making a small business successful. Chelsea has been there every step of the way, and I truly couldn’t do this without her.

Thank you for believing in me, supporting this dream, and sacrificing so much for our family and for Mr. Exterior. This business is as much yours as it is mine. I love you, and I’m beyond grateful for everything you do.

One of the biggest misconceptions we hear is that every exterior surface should be pressure washed.

🏠 Not every problem should be solved with pressure washing or soft washing. 🤔

Recently, we inspected a roof that showed more than normal staining. At first glance, it looked like a candidate for roof cleaning.

But a closer inspection revealed something different.

In several areas, the protective granules had worn away, exposing portions of the underlying fiberglass mat. While cleaning could remove algae and staining, it wouldn't repair the actual condition of the shingles.

That's where integrity matters.

At Mr. Exterior, we'd rather provide an honest recommendation than promise results that no contractor can realistically deliver. Sometimes that means recommending a repair. Sometimes it means setting realistic expectations. And occasionally, it means saying no.

🏠 Exterior cleaning can dramatically improve a property's appearance, but it isn't a cure-all. Knowing the difference between a surface that is dirty and a surface that is damaged is part of doing the job right.
