An old school technique I use sometimes to flatten wood, too valuable to just run through a planer.
Cut the underside of the crown about 75% of the thickness and glue a wedged spline of the same wood into the groove while clamping it in a flattened state.

A different kind of building this past week.
My grandson absolutely loves building with wood and with my vintage LEGOS, it is no different. They spark creativity and imagination and a toy I believe to be the greatest of all time.
LEGO is the GOAT of the toy world hands down.
