Most contractor jobs hire you, hand you a broom, and leave you there for years.
This isn't that.
Midwest Residential is hiring General Labor in the Cleveland area — starting at $18–25/hr — and the path out of this role is built into the job description.
Here's what the first 90 days actually look like:
You're on real residential remodel sites every day — demo, material handling, site protection, assisting skilled tradesmen on active scopes. You're not warehoused. You're in the middle of the work.
At 90 days, if you show up and take correction well, your rate goes up. Not maybe. It's written down.
And the moment you want to move into a trade — tile, framing, trim, whatever you're already standing next to every day — you tell your Super. They pull you into the real scope work. You train on live projects alongside the guy doing it. When your work meets the standard without rework, you certify. Rate bump hits the next pay period. Skilled Labor starts at $25 and climbs to $40.
What you don't need:
— A degree
— Prior remodeling experience
— A specific trade background
You need to show up, ask what's next when you finish a task, and actually want to learn a trade — not just collect a check.
