So I did something out of my comfort zone and applied to the State Electricians and Plumber licensing board this summer and just got my appointment and start October 1st. This will be a great new adventure!

I just had a friend tell me about a problem people have often is that they hire someone that is not qualified to do the work or isn't who they say they are. You can save yourself a lot of time and headache if you check before you hire. One way to do that is go to Dopl.utah.gov from there you can go to verify license. Then you are able to check if the person you have hired is licensed with the state to do the work you have hired them for. There you can also check the businesses too.

Did an electrical inspection and this is a common problem I found. The smoke detectors were 14 years old. Their new remodel was ten years old.
Check your smoke detectors! Most manufacturers only give you ten years. If they are out of that time they may not work properly and in some cases insurance may not cover a full amount because they were defective.
