This project initially began as a sod installation to eliminate dirt and mud in the backyard. However, during our consultation, we noticed the homeowner’s retaining wall was improperly built and already beginning to fail.

We advised the client that if the wall collapsed, it would destroy the newly installed sod. Instead of waiting for the inevitable failure, the homeowner chose to rebuild the wall correctly before laying fresh sod, ensuring a long-lasting solution.

To complete the project, we deconstructed the failing wall block by block and hauled away the materials, as they were not rated for proper soil retention.

We then installed a structurally sound retaining wall using high-quality materials and proper drainage solutions before finishing with TifTuff Bermuda Sod for a lush, green backyard.
