The cabinets in this high-end spa had definitely seen better days. They needed some care, so we gave them a full transformation using walnut veneer to bring them back to life.For this project, we fabricated 87 doors and drawers and finished them with Renner Italian Coatings. From start to finish, the process took a couple of weeks to complete.For the cabinet bodies, we installed walnut veneer directly onto the existing cabinet structure. The process itself is straightforward, but very labor-intensive. We started by lightly sanding so that the glue had a surface to bond to. Each piece had to be carefully measured, cut, glued on both surfaces, allowed to set, and then installed. Did everything go perfectly the first time? Not always. We made mistakes along the way and had to remove and redo some sections, which was no small task.Once the veneer was installed, we applied three coats of Renner clear coat to protect the finish and enhance the natural beauty of the walnut.In the end, the space looked completely transformed.
