We wanted to share a quick tip about sprinkler systems.

Be sure to check sprinkler heads regularly for any damage or clogs. A clogged or damaged sprinkler head can cause water to be unevenly distributed, leading to dry or over-watered patches in your lawn.

To ensure your sprinkler system is working efficiently, it's a good idea to check the heads every few weeks and replace them if necessary.

😀Here are some helpful tips on how to winterize your lawn irrigation system that will help prevent costly repairs:

👉Drain all water from the system: Turn off the water supply to the irrigation system and open the lowest valve or faucet in the system to allow the water to drain out. This will prevent the water in the pipes from freezing and causing the pipes to burst.

👉Disconnect and store hoses: Disconnect all hoses from the irrigation system and store them in a warm, dry place to prevent them from freezing.

👉If your irrigation system has a backflow prevention device, it should be winterized by a professional. If your system does not have a backflow prevention device, you can winterize it yourself by blowing out the lines with compressed air. This will remove any water remaining in the pipes and help prevent freezing.
