This International Women's Day we're celebrating the women in construction!

Here are some fun facts about women in the construction industry, courtesy of Hailee Browning, Linbeck Group, LLC :

- As of 2020, women account for 10% of the construction workforce.

- 44% of the top 100 construction companies have women in executive positions! (Between 2007 and 2018 the industry saw a 94% growth of women with great skill sets owning firms in the construction industry. These firms also had very high revenues. Because of that construction is very much in need of female leaders as construction managers, executive, and CEO roles.)

- Women own 13% of construction companies.

- The gender wage gap in construction is one of the narrowest in any industry. While women overall earn 81 cents for every dollar earned by men, that figure rises to 94 cents for women in construction.
