Stronger buildings don’t require more material, just smarter design.
The BUGA Fibre Pavilion in Germany was inspired by the lightweight load-bearing structures found throughout nature, from beetle wings to cellulose fibers. Built using robotic filament winding, the pavilion is five times lighter than a comparable steel structure, yet a single component can support the weight of 15 cars.
Nature has long proven that strength and efficiency aren't opposing goals. Sometimes the lightest solution is also the strongest.
