ATTENTION HOUSTON HOMEOWNERS AND PROPERTY OWNERS!!!!!!!!!
Every time that our city of Houston, TX gets a tornado, a hail storm, a hurricane or a wind storm, be aware that the shingles of your roof will most likely suffer and you must need to inspect them in order to asses any possible damages. Here is the turn of events that happens to your shingles:
1) The shingles of your roof start getting loose since the power of the high winds can lift your older shingles and get them loose (1st Photo). The glue can no longer hold the tabs in place and for this reason they get loose.
2) Once many of your shingles are loose, the shingles will start flapping up and down every time high winds come and a creese will be created from the bending up and down of the shingle tab (a line at the end of the shingle tab - 2nd Photo).
3) Once the creese is created the shingle tabs weaken and shingle tears can happen to many of them (see 3rd Photo).
4) And finally, many of the creesed shingles will just fly away exposing the nails below that will eventually rust and allow water to pe*****te inside your home. (See the rest of the Photos).
