CompCO Designs

CompCO Designs CompCO Designs strives to end the unnecessary construction waste by implementing efficient sustainability to all our designs.

Founded by Emmanuel Companys in 2012, CompCO Designs aims to bring residential design to the next level. We notice the lack of effort when designing homes. If you are going to spend the next 30 years paying off your mortgage, maybe your house should help make it affordable?

Help us get this individual some help!
Great idea for a great cause, anything helps. We want to be apart of this and help her get this off the ground.
CompCO Designs will be helping with resources and our supporters (if you could)!

Elizabeth is an amazing individual, has a huge heart and wants the best for everyone. One of her biggest causes is to help those that are homeless. She’s in a similar situation and wants to build an off grid, completely off the land, self sustaining home.

Let see what we can do! Thank you for looking at this and helping us.

We get this asked a lot. Asking about how hot it gets in there. Well it’s simple. Check out our explanation above! It’s actually better insulated which is, in turn, cooler than in most typical stick builds. Ask us questions! We love to educate individuals on this type of construction.

Take a close look. Do you see the containers? (3) 20’ HC containers are in this design. The goal was to make the home blend with the surrounding homes and style - Victorian. The interior was modeled to be a place to host a get together while enjoying the views of the landscape. The gable roof makes the living and kitchen feel much bigger. Tell us what you think. Would you live in a home like this? What’s your favorite aspect? Check our our website “gallery” for more designs we have done and to stay up to date with our current projects.

Shipping containers can be recycled, upcycled as some say, into all sorts of structures. From full homes to patios to simple sheds, shipping containers have many uses. We use them as main structural elements in our builds. Bringing functionality to something that is typically left to rust in city ports.

The idea to help those in need wouldn't be complete without the homeless getting some love too. We designed a single pod (for an individual) that is in need. This design is in a 10'L shipping container. Comes with everything necessary to help an individual succeed.

The shelter would be apart of a large community. 8 pods per group with 2 pods sharing a full bathroom (separate structure). Each pod comes with a bed, table and chair, mini split A/C unit powered by solar panels, 2 LED lights inside and 1 exterior LED light.

More to come!

You know, right now (mid 2020), it's tough to stay focused on work when working from home. Being distracted by your family, pets and regular day to day calls to the house can slow your progress. We designed this 20 foot backyard office so you can switch on to work mode and stay focused. With a full wall window giving you plenty of natural light and a wonderful view of your home/garden.

Something we noticed that will be imperative in the coming months and years is portable medical pods that can be quickly and easily placed in parking lots or public spaces to immunize individuals safely and quickly.

This pod is 10' L x 8' W x 9'-6"H. It comes with a sink and storage space. The A/C is solar powered and so are the lights. Batteries can be added for evening use.

What is needed is a small, efficient solution. These pods are inexpensive, efficient (with solar panels) and very easy to position. Can be placed on a trailer with a ramp to be ADA accessible. When placed on the ground, a basic 6' long by 6" high ramp can be placed at the door for accessibility. We hope to see many of these around the world in the coming years.

Not to discredit slab foundations... but pier and beam in places like Houston, which has clay soil, is a must. Not only does it anchor your home to more solid ground, negating issues with your home settling, but it also helps tremendously during floods as we design our homes to always be three feet above grade. Think about the long term, we do.

We’ve done lots of public restrooms for municipalities and private companies. But this one is specifically for our Homeless Complex. Each 20’ SC will have (2) full washrooms. This includes a toilet, sink and shower. It is 100% ADA compliant, and the lighting/AC is fully solar powered. The interior is easy to clean and disinfect as the walls, floor and ceiling are as waterproof (water resistant) as possible. These pods are easy to transport and connect to the city plumbing. Check out our website as we will be posting up plans of the homeless complex with walkthroughs and floor plans.
