The power goes out and suddenly you’re doing the mom math… 

How long will the refrigerator stay cold? 
How much food is in the freezer? 
How hot is the house going to get? 
And how long before the kids start asking, “When is the power coming back on?” 😅

Several times a week we get phone calls from homeowners that are planning for or have recently made an EV purchase, not realizing that they draw a significant amount of power. That’s not something you want to be finding out one night- middle of August at 11pm when it’s 100 degrees outside and your A/C is running full blast.

Then there’s where to plug it in. A standard outlet might be an option in a pinch. However, it’s not efficient and often unsafe. Another common thought is that an existing 240v outlet could be utilized, but without the right set up can create a real fire risk.
