🙏 A huge thank you to the BPCA team and Kathryn Shaw & Scott Johnstone for giving us the opportunity to share the story behind Licensed To Kill; where it started, what it's grown into, and, most importantly, why we continue to invest so much into this community.

What began as a handful of technicians looking for a place to connect has grown into a network of hundreds of pest management professionals who share knowledge, build friendships, celebrate wins, support one another through challenges, and help each other grow both personally and professionally.

We were invited out by another pest control company to attend a career day event at a local middle school, and it was an incredible opportunity to connect with the next generation and introduce them to an industry that many young people simply don’t know enough about!

One of the biggest goals of Licensed To Kill is helping show students that pest control is more than “just spraying bugs.” This industry is filled with opportunity, growth, technology, entrepreneurship, problem solving, and unique career paths that most people never realize exist. From wildlife work and aerial application to entomology, sales, marketing, training, and even specialized roles like falcon handling — there are so many different ways to build a meaningful and successful career in this field.

We put together a presentation designed to highlight the “real world superhero” side of pest control — the people protecting homes, businesses, food supply chains, public health, and communities every single day. Watching students engage, ask questions, and realize that this industry could actually be a future path for them was genuinely rewarding!

This is exactly the kind of outreach we want to continue expanding. If your company, school, organization, or local event would like LTK to participate in a future career day, industry event, or youth outreach opportunity, we’d love to connect!

We’re also actively looking for partners and sponsors who believe in helping us introduce the pest industry to younger generations in a positive and engaging way.
