After speaking at the University of Texas Medical Branch panel, UTMB’s Dr. Raji wrote me this beautiful note:

I recently put my house on the market, applying all the advice I give to my clients to my own home sale. It was no surprise to me that my house sold after just two days - just like the homes of my clients sell right away because over the years I have distilled my turn-key approach to fine science and it works - in good times and downturns, after floods, hurricanes and pandemics!

Throughout my career, my personal life and business always intertwined with great synchronicity. As a new wife whose husband’s work necessitated our continual relocating, I leveraged our own
moves to specialize in relocation and renovating houses to market for others. As a young widow who had to help elder family members age-in-place or relocate, I took courses and began to work with seniors as a Senior Lifestyle Consultant - helping them and their families decide whether to relocate or renovate or both.

Because people have a hard time parting with their things in a move, downsizing seniors in advance has also become another of my specialties. Things tell the story of our lives, and downsizing must be done property and with heart to turn what could be stressful into a joyful experience.

Breaking News! I am speaking at the Evelyn Rubenstein JCC Tuesday on May 12 at 10:30 a.m.! My talk is titled “Thriving in Later Years: Unstoppable Seniors Living Fully, and it’s filled with really useful tips and tricks plus lots of fun personal stories and relevant examples. Group events like this remind me of the Longest Day Fundraiser I participated in for Alzheimer’s prevention and treatment. My dance video is below!

“I would just say to Ryan, art imitates science and vice versa, it seems,” says astronaut Jeremy Hansen. “He did a great job in that movie. It’s wonderful to see people really leaning into those roles. I thought it was just such an inspirational example, and somebody who goes out there and just gets what was done to save humanity. It’s a pretty extraordinary example that we can all follow. We all thought that movie was really uplifting and inspiring.”
