Must have valid license and clean 3 year mvr

Job description

Irrigation Technician
An Athens based landscape company is looking for an Irrigation Technician. Our services include design and install of outdoor living environments, water features, large and small scale landscape projects, irrigation systems and the daily maintenance of lawns and landscapes. We serve a wide range of customers, from apartment complexes, retail centers, and corporate campuses to homeowner's associations, public spaces, and private residences.

Responsibilities:
- Installing systems and ensuring that they function efficiently
- Repairing and maintaining valves, tracing electrical components, installing and initializing clocks and timers, locating existing zones and valves and performing pump repairs
- Adhering to Company's safety policy and ensuring that the public will be safe while in contact with crews
- Complete daily paperwork as required by each job
- Meet or exceed company production rates and standards set forth.
- Ensuring that customers are satisfied completely through effective communication, relationship building and regular site visits

Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 yrs irrigation install or tech experience
- Strong work ethic
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with customer service
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR - position available

Job Summary:
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of multiple pieces of construction equipment. The Heavy Equipment Operator is proficient in the use of a diverse range of constructions equipment, including, Excavators, Loaders, Dozers, Rollers, Graders, Pavers, Skid Steers and other pieces of equipment. In addition we need someone familiar with site work and drainage.

Essential Duties:
The responsibilities of the Heavy Equipment Operator include, but are not limited to:
Equipment Operation
· Capable of operating multiple pieces of construction equipment used in construction/hardscapes as well as site work and drainage
· Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
· Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
· Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, and clean, lubricate and refill the equipment as necessary.
· Maneuver heavy equipment into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed.
· Other construction related duties as required

Qualifications:
· Driver’s license, required
· Knowledge of proper operation of heavy equipment as well as safety standards
· Willingness to be outside
· Ability to communicate and interact verbally and written
· Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience with heavy equipment

Manage 2-3 commercial landscape or hardscape projects at all times. Number of projects managed will be determined by project size. The position requires an organized and focused outlook on projects. The Landscaping Project Superintendent is an experienced professional that is self motivated to achieve and manage quality work. The Landscape Project Superintendent will ensure all projects are operating smooth and within budget.

Essential Responsibilities
• Coordinate between crew foreman and general contractors
• Manage the jobs to create successful projects
• Attend weekly meetings with general contractors
• Perform job layout and schedule job production
• Responsible for job production and Quality
• Complete projects within budget and on time
• Coordinate material orders and deliveries
• Complete daily and weekly paper work for projects.

Skills Should Include:
• 5 years of landscape or hardscape experience (not cutting grass)
• Highly organized team player and self -starter
• Ability to operate equipment
• Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
• A clean driving record
• Ability to read plans and set elevation
• Ability to manage people

TRAVEL POSSIBLE - MAY REQUIRE TRAVEL THROUGHT THE SOUTH EAST.

Full- Time position. Monday to Friday (some weekends)
