We just delivered this beautiful, custom shed to a loyal repeat customer in Cotopaxi. This customer opted for upgraded pine kickboard, angle-iron edging to prevent any chewing, and a five-rail divider. We also anchored this shed to keep it grounded ;-)

Today, on Veterans Day, we pause to honor all who have worn the uniform and defended our freedoms.

At Southwest Shed Co, service to country runs deep in our family. Our owner, Donnie Woodmansee, proudly served for 20 years in the military before retiring and continuing his service as a professional firefighter. The discipline, integrity, and commitment he learned in uniform are the foundation of every project we build.
Today, that legacy continues. Our son is currently in infantry school for the U.S. Army, carrying forward the tradition of service that defines our family.

To all veterans—past and present—thank you. Your sacrifice, courage, and dedication have given us the freedom to build our dreams, raise our families, and serve our communities.

At Southwest Shed Co, we build custom horse shelters, arena footing systems, and quality fencing—but we didn't start in construction. We started in the saddle.

Donnie and Jen Woodmansee founded Southwest Shed Co in 2024 after decades in the horse industry. As competitors who've earned money and titles in Team Roping, Ranch Rodeo, Barrel Racing, Versatility Ranch Horse, and Reined Cowhorse, we understand what horses need to perform at their best and stay sound for the long haul.

Our Background

Donnie spent over 20 years as a professional firefighter and retired after 20 years of military service—bringing discipline, integrity, and a veteran's commitment to every project. He's been building custom shelters for our own horses for years, perfecting designs that survive Colorado's toughest weather.

Jen brings over 25 years of veterinary industry experience as a vet tech, diagnostics product manager, and marketer. She's seen firsthand how proper shelter and arena footing impact horse health—from preventing respiratory issues to reducing joint stress and injury.
