Honoured to have the primary ensuite of our Toorak residence named a Best Bathroom finalist in the House & Garden awards.

Designed as an extension of the architecture rather than simply a bathroom, the space is defined by strong form, expressive material and a sense of calm.

A monolithic Patagonia stone vanity anchors the room, its natural veining set against grey marble floors and softly hand-finished walls. A suspended mirrored volume defines the vanity without enclosing it, while curved walls, full-height glazing and sheer linen allow light to move softly through the space.

The contrast is deliberate: monumental stone against soft curves, rich materiality against restraint.

Bold, individual and quietly luxurious.

Thrilled to have the primary bedroom of our Woodend residence awarded Best Bedroom in the House & Garden Top 50 Rooms.

Designed as a place of retreat, the bedroom is defined by restraint — in its palette, its detailing and the number of elements within the room.

Textured walls and pale oak floors provide a quiet backdrop to the custom bed and concealed joinery, while vintage Murano lighting and carefully collected furniture bring character and a sense of history.

For us, luxury is not about excess. It is about proportion, materiality and atmosphere, creating spaces that feel considered, individual and enduring.

Furniture should never be an afterthought. I consider it as important to a project as the architecture and interior design itself.

In modern spaces particularly, furniture introduces warmth, tactility and a sense of history. I like to mix contemporary pieces with vintage and custom-designed furniture, creating a tension between old and new that prevents an interior from feeling too perfect or overly designed.

Vintage pieces bring history and familiarity that something new cannot replicate, while bespoke furniture allows us to respond specifically to the architecture, proportion and way a room will be lived in.

The result should never feel as though everything was chosen at the same time. It should feel collected, individual and as though it has evolved over time.

FAMILY HOME — EVERYDAY ELEGANCE

The kitchen is the heart of a family home. It needs to work hard for cooking, entertaining and everyday life, but it can also be beautiful.

Good kitchen design starts with planning. Understanding how a family lives and uses the space ensures everything has a purpose and works effortlessly.

In this home, stone and timber provide a restrained foundation, layered with custom-designed furniture and vintage Murano lighting. I love introducing vintage pieces into contemporary interiors; they bring character, history and individuality, ensuring a space feels collected rather than overly designed.

A home created through art and soul.

Ancient objects, contemporary art, collectible furniture and pieces from different cultures and periods are brought together instinctively rather than by convention. Patina sits beside polish, antiquity beside modernism, the precious beside the unexpected.

A family home needs to withstand the realities of everyday life without compromising the clarity of the architecture.

Here, robust materials and simple forms are grounded in modernist principles of proportion, repetition and honest materiality. Travertine, glass and dark metal create a restrained palette, while deep overhangs, sheltered terraces and strong structural frames provide protection and permanence.

Richly figured timber, veined marble, polished metal and soft leather transform the cabin into something closer to a beautifully tailored interior than a conventional aircraft.

THE APARTMENT

Apartment living demands a particular kind of discipline. Every element needs to earn its place.

For this Sydney apartment, the principles of European modernism informed a restrained language of clean lines, strong proportions and integrated function. Richly veined stone brings movement against pale timber and textured cabinetry, while curated furniture introduces softness and individuality.

The apparent simplicity relies on precision, discreet junctions, aligned panels and carefully resolved transitions, rigorously documented and carried through construction.

A balance of architecture, materiality and decoration, considered as a whole.
