…DANGEROUS HEAT INDEX RETURNS THIS WEEK…
It seems like summer doesn’t want to let go. Temperatures will be rising into the mid 90s across much of the Georgia Cycling area this week. Humidities will also be increasing as a system moves across the northeast Gulf and spreads moisture across the state. This will bring higher heat index values to the state along with increasing chances of afternoon and evening thunderstorms, mainly toward the end of the week.
As always, please feel free to reach out to me if you have any weather-related questions. You can contact me via email at [email protected].

We encourage you to use the OSHA-NIOSH Heat Index app for your practices. Below is a link on how to use this app

Lightning App
We encourage you to use the “My Lightning Tracker” app for your practices. You can set the distance from your point to X miles (we recommend setting this to 10 miles). This app will also follow you no matter where you are, so it will alert you if lightning strikes within the radius that you set. This is available on both iPhone and Android.
Air Quality
To find out the Air Quality in your area, we encourage you to use the AirNow app available on both iPhone and Android.
