Finding out , insurance companies are pushing thru a law that won’t allow the mitigation contractor to work out invoices . Will only work with policy holders. This I assume is to save them money since policy holders have no idea what the industry standards are except for what the adjuster tells them . And what they pay is what the Ph gets . They call it (negotiating) but what they don’t tell you is it’s an (invoice) for work performed. They basically can write whatever amount they want . This will insue lawsuits after lawsuits in order for legitimate restoration companies to get paid what you owe us . See what insurance companies don’t tell you is that the mitigation contractors have no skin in the game and they cut your invoices 20% right off the bat since we can’t get paid overhead and profit. Then they nickel and dime us to death. So you are not getting what you pay them for. Be prepared for what is to come . They are all giddy over the law . So let your voices be heard . Call your reps and AG.

Looks like we could potentially have some flooding. PSA if you do have flooding and flood waters get into your home , please remember this type water isn’t anything you will find in your pool or bath . This water carries microbes, chemicals, f***s, dead animal decomposition and many other things that can cause sickness or worse. If you decide to do the clean-up yourself or have a buddy who believes he is immune to the above items be prepared and protect yourself and oh yea make your Superman buddy do the same. Bleach is an excellent cleaner but does not kill all the bad stuff as some people believe, but it does help .
If you want me to come and look at your damages there’s absolutely no charge and if someone wants to charge you for this . BEWARE. We will assess the situation, make a professional plan and advise you of your options. We no longer write FEMA quotes as most are not excepted because we write to do the job correct. And they have stipulations that don’t work for conventional claims. This takes time away from clients that have legitimate claims and coverage. To all who have homeowners insurance. You have a devastating fire or major water damage. You call in a claim to your insurance company. The adjuster comes out and looks everything over . Then you receive the call all insurance companies love to give . Your claim is denied. WHAT you ask yourself, I’ve paid in to you for 20+ years and never filed a claim . Or the insurance only covers a certain amount and most of the time I see is that it’s not enough to put the home back to its pre loss condition. Or you have a claim and don’t want to turn it in because you’re afraid your rates will go up. Most of the time that is not true. Or you’re afraid the company that comes out won’t do the job professionally or will not give you the service that you’ve paid for for years so they can save the insurance company as much money as they can so they can get more work from them .
Having insurance on a home is a complicated situation. Know what your coverages are and for what peril it covers . Know who is coming to your rescue when perils hit . Have your home appraised to know what your insurance will cover and to what amount. You pay this in , make there’s enough to put you back in whole . Understand your policy because when the time comes to use it don’t get caught in surprises.

Want to see how an incompetent “RESTORATION COMPANY “ leaves the home of an elderly lady 😡😡😡😡😡?
Notice all her contents not protected or further more not removed from the premises. They are completely covered in dust .
History: this home was constructed in 1953. No Asbestos Testing was performed. She was told she had mold and was to vacate the premises immediately. There was no Mold Protocol written or performed.
These are the type of companies that come into peoples home in a time of crisis and do more damage than the peril. And most are brought in by your carrier because they save them the most money . This company I hope will be receiving a major lawsuit if I have anything to do with it .
For future reference. Know who is coming into your home. Research the living hell out of any company that says they are certified. And especially the ones sent to you through a program . Program work is designed for companies that can’t get jobs the ethical way. And will cut corners to save the program money . You pay for a service that carriers promise to put your home back to its pre loss condition . That is not how it works out .
We’re a professional ethical and honest company. Yes we have bangs and bruises but none that has come from being the type of company that takes advantage of or just doesn’t care what the outcome of any job will be. Mostly our dings is trying to protect you from the ones who are supposed to protect you.

Did you know most if not all or some of the Mitigation Companies do not know how to properly remove water and dry-out a modular or mobile home. Due to most just want to show up take the least amount of material out throw some equipment in for 2-3 days come back pick it up and move on. What they don’t realize or know is the way a modular or mobile home is built. It’s built to have moisture in areas that has to be opened up. The walls the tubs cabinets HAS TO COME OUT . The flooring runs under them all. If you have or had a water loss in these types homes 9 times out of 10 it still wet .
We know how these homes are built and what needs to be done to properly dry them .
