Sometimes the solution isn’t a drain—it’s getting the grade right.

This backyard had a low area that was allowing rainwater to pool and eventually run toward the swimming pool. To correct the problem, we brought in topsoil and raised the existing grade, creating a better slope to naturally move water away from the problem area.

Proper grading can make a huge difference in how a property handles heavy rainfall. By reshaping the surface of the yard, we’re using gravity to direct runoff where it needs to go instead of letting it collect around the pool.

Once the turf grows back through, the goal is a yard that looks great and functions better when the rain comes.

This one got a full topdressing application, and these pictures show exactly what goes into the process.
