1 year ago today we registered our business with the Florida Division of Corporations. Took a few more months to Dig In on our first project but thinking back on what this has grown into since May 1st 2025 is pretty awesome. We’re grateful to our clients and especially our team for where we stand today. We’re an FDOT approved contractor, went to a City of Jacksonville event last night and will be registering to be added to the small and emerging business program to have the opportunity to bid on COJ projects, we’ve worked on multiple commercial projects, FDOT projects and property Managment projects. We are on track to meet or exceed our revenue goals for 2026 and have built a small fleet to make sure our talented team has the tools to execute at a high level. Rain this past week forced us to switch some stuff around in our schedule and push finishing Jax Beach up until next week. Even with dodging the rain we were able to get a small job knocked out in Vilano Beach and salvage the week. Grateful for our crew that continues to follow us outside of their comfort zone to make progress and keep the work flowing. Poured concrete sidewalk and pull box mow pads for a new pedestrian crossing on A1A & Surfside Ave. Finished it off with new sod at the intersection. Not bad for a bunch of pipe guys!

Final storm drain tie in wrapped up this week on our Jax Beach project. Looking forward to wrapping up our part of the project next week and moving on to the next one! So grateful for our team and the opportunities we’ve had so far since launching DigIn Jax and looking forward to Digging in on the next one. Kicking off a 3 day weekend for some well deserved R&R after a hard grind to get to this point at Da Beach. Happy Easter weekend!

Been back at Da Beach last couple weeks. Finally making some progress and got some pipe and 2 storm drain structures in this week. Looking forward to tying in the 42”, 24” & 15” pipe and closing this hole up this week. Got word we were awarded a new project today that adds to our backlog and will keep us rolling for 4-5 months! Grateful for our main client that continues to put their trust in our team to execute on their projects!

Grateful to be back at it this week! Mad respect to anyone that does concrete everyday 🫡 y’all deserve a raise! This week we formed and poured concrete pads around utility boxes and installed conduit through a mess of existing utilities. Looking forward to heading back to Jax Beach to finish bringing that project to a close. Huge shout out to our team for being willing to put there skills to use however and wherever needed to keep the work flowing. We’re ready to Dig In on the weekend! Women in Construction week is this week! Shout out to all the women out there that get in, get dirty, do the hard work, coordinate projects, design projects, inspect the work we do and keep the work flowing. Most times women in this industry are among the best at what they do and that’s not an easy thing in this line of work! We see you and appreciate what you do.

This week was a slow week. Conflicts on our main project and some last minute efforts left us with no work this week. First time that’s happened since we dug in on this thing. It’s a constant high followed by low with little to no transition doing this business thing. First emotion was panic but here’s what happened in that “slow week” bid 5 jobs and won 5 jobs!, caught up on all the “office stuff” that gets pushed to the side, designed a system to keep our tool trailer organized and keep the work day efficient, got our first year business taxes done, bought a crew truck to help get our guys and our tools wherever they’re needed, met with PM’s for our main primary contractor and got awarded ALL of their underground work on a continuous and ongoing basis (couldn’t be more grateful and proud of our crew for making that possible!), but out of all that what I’m most grateful for is that we are blessed to be able to pay our crew for the week even though we had no work! The core idea in starting this business was to be able to pay our crew a LIVING WAGE, I’m grateful we can make sure they can support their families even on the slow weeks, for us that’s what it’s about. Take care of those that make us who we are because they sure do take care of us. We want that to be what sets us apart from the next contractor with a truck, trailer and machine. End of the day production is what drives this industry but the people are what makes things happen! Looking like a slow week next week before we head back to finish our Jax Beach project beginning of March. Got the 260 at the home base, next week is gonna be a bad week to be a tree in my back yard!
