Now is the time to plan for your spring tree planting projects!

We have some exciting news! Our 2026 Tree & Shrub Sale Catalog is now available!! We have many of our classic offerings available in addition to some exciting, new varieties of trees and shrubs. You can find the catalog in addition to an order form on our website at https://soilwater.org/. Feel free to call the office with any questions or to be added to the catalog mailing list for next year at 716-338-0184. This is not our usual number that is posted online due to some logistics issues upon moving offices. Remember, some items are very popular and sell out, so get your form in as early as possible to secure your order. The deadline for orders will be April 1st.

"New legislation enacted in 2025 reinstates and makes permanent several tax provisions affecting forest landowners and introduces new incentives for capital investment. While many provisions take effect in 2026, some apply to the 2025 tax year.
The U.S. Forest Service updated Timber Tax Tips publication is intended as a practical reference foresters can use when discussing management options, timing decisions and long-term planning with landowners, in coordination with tax professionals."

The results of a recently completed selection system harvest. Individual trees were marked for removal. The remaining crop trees will benefit because they are not crowded. Snags, cavity trees, dead logs and tops will provide shelter and enhanced food availability for wildlife.
