We received this fantastic letter today. We are always glad when we get confirmation of what we already know, we have the best team in this business. You guys really care about what you do and it clearly shows. Excellent Job Justtin, we are very proud of you. Nothing like getting promoted and proving why it was a good decision within the week.
On a side note, this made boss lady cry a bit.

Subject: Employee commendation
I'm writing to commend a member of the work crew that has been replacing water pipes at the intersection of Prescott and W. "N" streets. I'm not sure if he's a SUB employee or a sub-contracted flagger, but he's represented you so well and gone so far above and beyond in his job that I hope you'll pass this on. His first name is Justin, he has a beard, he sets up barriers and signs, directs traffic, and has been working along W. "N" with the SUB crew for weeks.
I live on Prescott next to the intersection and from the desk where I work I have a view of the work. Justin has been unfailingly helpful, friendly and positive. Everyone in the neighborhood has commented on it, and I've seen it over and over with drivers, school buses and pedestrians. He pays close attention and gives excellent directions and updates on the work - what will happen and when.
Last Friday was Sanipac pickup day. My elderly neighbors who live right at the intersection had their can out, but the Sanipac truck could get nowhere near it due to the barriers. Justin saw this, ran to get their can and run it down to the truck, gave the Sanipac driver detailed instructions on how to navigate his route, then returned the can to my neighbors. Just this morning I had a woman come to pick up some free plants that I advertised and her first comment was that she could not have made it without the help of the super-nice flagger. We love him. He's aware, on top of things, and does a great job for community relations. I hope that this makes it into his employee record somehow.
Thank you,
Pam
