I know i haven't posted much lately, not a lot that's picture worthy, well not that belongs to me anyway. I've been at my soon to be in laws the past couple days scrubbing and organizing for our engagement party and while at it, might as well do a full overhaul on each room right? My entire focus right now has been maintaining at our house and improving at the in laws while working on details for the wedding. The engagement party is going to be really fun and I'm really excited to see everyone!...and looking forward to a couple relaxing days after. I haven't figured out where to make an updated post about Lucy chick among all the good plans but...she passed while I was away at my Bachelorette party. I think she got too hot in the camper, not sure...not being able to move around she may have overheated. I'm not sure. Derek went to check on her and found that she had passed. She was eating and drinking well when I left, perky and "talking" to me. I was very hopeful. Sad when you loose an animal on the homestead but it also comes with the gig.

People have asked if we have a wedding registry, this registry is things we want for the homestead. A previous post are items we would like for the wedding in September. Money donations can be venmoed or put in a jar at the engagement partt as well. By now means are gifts expected though, don't feel like you must provide some sort of gift, food and drinks to share is all that's expected.

I have had a fantastic weekend at Porter Lake with my soon to be mother in law Sheri Thaxter. Everyone that came yesterday, I thank you fromnthe bottom of my heart! It was just what I needed after moving and working so hard to set up our new homestead. It was wonderful to see everyone again, to be at camp again and I am feeling so overwhelming blessed to go from no family for most of my life to having 3 sets of parents who each love me in their own way and who support me no matter what. I couldn't be happier with how this weekend turned out. Today we sadly have to say goodbye to the lake, the lovely camp, and the amazing people who made this weekend possible. We'll be gathering up some of my belongings from the house in Farmington before making the 3 hour drive back home. Then the work of cleaning and preparing for the engagement party next weekend begins. Only 3 short months from now I'll be a wife, how is that possible?! Feeling so blessed and so loved! I only wish I had taken more pictures with everyone!
