Oaklea "Our Backyard" Project This project's goal is to give our students a place to enjoy social and recreational time outside.

Our Backyard was established to help facilitate the development and fundraising activities for the demolition and construction of a new playground/park, outdoor classroom and covered area at Oaklea Middle School. It is our belief that children need safe play areas where they can challenge themselves to develop physically, mentally and socially. Our Backyard aims to provide a safe and accessible playground/park so that students regardless of ability or age can play together everyday.
