Can Venetian plaster be touched up?

Yes and no.

I touch up my work all the time, some spots are easier than others, but it can be done.

I have record of my own formulas, application process, and trust myself and crew to prep each job properly—so I know there will not be failures due to my own work.

As a rule I do not touch up other applicators work, only whole wall sections. As I do not know how they prepped, mixed, or applied their product.

I stand behind my work, but will not stand behind someone else’s. I always recommend reaching back out to the applicator that did the work.

What Is Liquid Metal?

There are several types of metallic paints and plasters on the market. Most achieve their appearance using mica powders, metallic pigments, and specialty coatings to mimic the look of metal.

Liquid Metal is different.

Instead of imitating metal, it contains actual metal powder. If I’m creating a brass finish, I’m using real brass. If it’s copper, I’m using real copper. The finish isn’t designed to look like metal—it is metal.

Because of this, Liquid Metal offers a level of authenticity, durability, depth, and polish that simply can’t be replicated with metallic paints alone. The surface can be sanded, burnished, and polished to create stunning effects ranging from soft satin sheens to mirror-like finishes.

The process is more labor-intensive and costly than traditional decorative finishes. Each surface must be carefully applied, sanded, and refined to achieve its final appearance.

The result is a beautiful, long-lasting finish that brings the character and richness of real metal into a space. It’s one of my favorite mediums for creating truly unique architectural features and custom effects.

Blending Liquid Metal (stainless steel, brass, and copper) with lime plaster, Limewash, Wax, and Soapstone—all came together to create a completely unique design.
