Did you know these two systems aren’t the same thing?

On the left: Tyvek HomeWrap—a protective weather barrier that’s installed over wall sheathing.

On the right: ZIP System—engineered sheathing with a built-in weather-resistant barrier that’s sealed with specialized flashing tape.

Both are designed to protect your home from wind and rain while helping manage moisture, but the installation process and wall assembly are different.

A good building envelope is one of the most important parts of a long-lasting, energy-efficient home—even though you’ll never see it once the siding goes on.
