It's not recommended to hang heavy objects directly on metal studs. Shown here is 3/4" plywood extended 6" above and below seams in 5/8 sheetrock. Extra sheetrock screws were added to the sheetrock around the area where the television bracket will be mounted. Ellsworth Kansas hospital x-ray room remodel.
