Some customers may be experiencing a greenish tint to their water. This is caused by an elevation in Manganese in our source water, the Chattahoochee River. Manganese only affects the color of water and not the quality. Manganese is a naturally occurring element and the slight elevation is not a safety issue. Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority has added additional treatment and the Manganese is back to normal, the tint may persist for a few more days as the water with elevated manganese works through the system. We apologize for the inconvenience.
