Keep going. The mountain in front of you becomes a beautiful journey. One step at a time. You never know what's around the bend.

This is the finished painting from an earlier post. Painted for a dear friend who inspires me to keep going. This will go in a baby boy's nursery and hopefully inspire him to climb his own mountains someday.

This thing happened awhile ago, but as I was headed to the meat freezer (yes, I have art in my garage), I glanced up and remembered the laughter. The kind of laughter that makes you p*e your pants. Our friends did this with us. A "paint your partner" night. I feel like fall & winter is the perfect time to get together for art and laughter. This was actually my first ever portrait painting of anyone. Not bad?? I feel like my hubby chickened out with his Picasso-like rendition of me! 🤣 I think we need a do-over! I appreciate his art, nevertheless, and can't wait to do this again with more people. Anyone??

I used to dream about being an artist when I was little. My parents always told me I could do anything I put my mind to. Turns out they were right. Dreams die without faith and action. My dad took this picture of me, and it reminded me of how important it is to take our children out to explore nature. He was building a foundation that I will cherish forever. When I go to the mountains he is there with me, always.
