FINALLY!! Time to assemble this dude. I know how my kids feel on Christmas morning when they are really excited about a toy, but have to open the rest of the presents first. My has been sitting in my garage for a month, waiting for me to build a dedicated CNC station. After hours of extremely helpful forums, YouTube's, and way too many screenshots, the bones of the cart are together. I tend to get carried away and over engineer, but sometimes done is better than perfect. Any tips on controlling dust, noise, vibration etc 🀯🀯, are greatly appreciated. For now though, time to start making things, and I'll figure it out as I go.

Every build has at least one "mill day" and to be honest, I like the sketching/planning/math nerd/beard scratching days soooo much more. Inevitably a pretty important part of woodworking is putting in the ear buds, making some (A LOT) of sawdust, and grinding out a cut list. What started as 90 board feet of white oak, is now exactly 189 1.25" x 35 3/4" strips.

Pay attention in math class kids, one day you might actually have to use it 😎

The outside corners for the vertical slat will be radiused (I guess that's a word?). Uniform spacing is still critical, so I made a set of brackets for each corner as well to tie into the brackets from my previous post. After lots of pencil shavings, erasing, trig, and beard scratching, I had a layout. Fortunately, my idea for a pivot point on the dado sled was an "aha" moment, that just kind of created itself, and actually worked perfectly! Now to start milling the slats 😬😬

My current build requires over 200 parallel strips! Consistent spacing is absolutely the most important part of the finished look. These brackets will allow me to pre assemble in sections rather than having to face nail each strip one at a time with a spacer block. This modified box joint sled worked perfectly, and I cant wait to show off the finished product!!!

The symmetry here is soooo satisfying to the perfectionist in me. These doors were one of my favorite builds yet...I had to break out more trig than I've used since about 10th gradeπŸ€“πŸ€“πŸ€“πŸ€“. I love everything about this laundry room, the tile, the black trim, the doors, the transformation!! (Swipe)... I still wouldn't like doing laundry in it even if it was my house!!

So excited to finally share these! Im blown away with how this kitchen turned out. The brick was one of my biggest challenges yet because every piece is a different size, the trick was to turn off the perfectionism (easier said than done)... its amazing what happens when creativity and craftsmanship meet! HUGE props to for the design and incredible vision, Accent Prone for the decor, white quartz from Marble Granite World and tile from

Why did I wait so long to buy a TLS... first job with the and I'm a believer. I thought, " I'm really good with the trowel" and "that looks like it would take a lot more time"...it's so much faster, cleaner, consistent than I could've imagined.

Very excited about a project were starting this week. I love being challenged because it's always an opportunity to grow. I've been slacking on posting (like always) but I thought I would post a few pictures of what we've been up to the last few weeks.
