Where to Save vs. Where to Splurge 👀

Not every part of a renovation needs the highest price tag — but there are definitely a few areas where quality matters.

💰 SAVE:
• Cabinet hardware
• Lighting fixtures

You can honestly find some GREAT affordable options online now (especially on Amazon), and many look just as good as the expensive versions.

✨ SPLURGE:
• Faucets
• Shower fixtures

This is one area we don’t recommend going off-brand. Plumbing fixtures get used every single day, and cheaper ones often don’t hold up long-term. We’d rather spend a little more upfront than deal with leaks, broken parts, or hard-to-find replacement pieces later.

Not every renovation starts pretty… 😅

Sometimes it starts with:
🧱 torn-out walls
🪵 rotten materials
🧤 demo dust everywhere
🚛 trailer loads of debris
…and wondering what we just got ourselves into.

But these are the projects we love most.

There’s something incredibly rewarding about taking a house that’s been neglected for years and giving it a fresh start. 🙌

This floorplan redesign nearly broke my brain 😅

This house had:
✔️ structural walls we couldn’t move
✔️ awkward room layouts
✔️ a step-down hallway
✔️ limited options for windows and door placement

At one point, the entire house was stripped down to framing while we tried to figure out how to make the layout actually work for modern living.

I spent WEEKS redesigning this floorplan — adjusting room sizes, window placement, traffic flow, and transitions — trying to make every inch feel intentional.

The pretty after photos are rewarding…
but seeing the transformation from THIS to the finished result is what makes projects like this so worth it. 🙌

It’s where families gather, mornings begin, and memories are made — so we always try to create spaces that feel both functional and welcoming.

Clean layouts, good lighting, durable finishes, and timeless design choices will always matter more to us than chasing trends.
